One of my favorite recent projects is a cowl pattern I found in my book Knit Red – Stitching for Women’s Heart Health.
I chose to use Ella Rae Lace Merino Aran in Songbird-Midnight Dream. This 100% super wash, extra fine merino wool yarn was a dream to knit and in this pattern the drape of the cowl is gorgeous and comfortable to wear. The pattern is simple but the results look more complicated and I was able to complete the project in a week. I loved it so much I went back to my local yarn shop and bought a skein of Grassy Fields to make another one!
